Engagement Story: Corey and Jason
Published: June 23, 2011
We couldn't wait to share this beautiful engagement shoot with you all shot by Jenny Lindsey Photography. Corey and Jason's wedding is planned for September 15th, 2012 at Legacy Farms Manor in Lebanon, TN.

How did you meet? Jason and I were both active duty Army and served in the same unit while deployed to Iraq. Although we knew each other for nearly two years, it took us both that long to express interest in one another. The funny thing was we were both “in” a relationship at the time. One particular night we were both at a birthday party (that by chance I went to) and just kind of starting talking. We haven’t been apart (other than military obligations) since that night.

Tell us your proposal story. We both knew very early into our relationship that we wanted to get married. Everything was just the cliché love story and we knew that we were meant to be. At Christmas, I asked Jason to send me his Christmas list. There were many little things on the list but he sneakily added in the middle that he wanted a “Harley Davidson Fatboy Low in Flat Black FI (:-D)”. I was thinking ok, I got something to make him never ask for a Harley again. In return I added a link to Tiffany’s page for the Tiffany legacy engagement ring. Nothing was really said about it, until after he was away training for five weeks we planned a mini get away in Nashville. He took me to favorite vineyards and we shared some wine and cheese and then went on a hunt. While we were walking across the hill he hands some lady his camera and pulled me to him as he was getting down on one knee. Although I knew it was something that was inevitable, he completely surprised me WITH the Tiffany Legacy ring and made it a very special moment. (I guess I’m getting him that Harley)

What has been your favorite part about planning your wedding? Or what has been the most challenging?
The most challenging part of the planning so far has been the fact that Jason is deployed and doesn’t get to go “pick out” certain things with me that I know he wants to be a part. It’s all been a bit bittersweet due to the fact that I’m so excited about marrying my one true love, but the sadness that comes with the fact he is in a war zone and we don’t get to plan together. I pray daily for his safe return so I can spend the rest of my life with my best friend.

Congratulations Jason and Corey!! And thanks to Jenny Lindsey Photography for providing the beautiful images.
