Interview with Full-Service Nashville Event Company: Main Event Productions
Published: June 15, 2011
Cakes, catering and fabulous event spaces! Main Event Productions owner, Kellie Bryson gave the Pink Ladies an insider look at her company and working in weddings. And with their newest location Legacy Farms now open, big things are yet to come.
1. What about your company or services makes you stand apart?
One Stop Shopping – Main Event Productions can take care of as many of the details as the bride needs help with in producing her wedding event. By operating a bakery, catering company, and event spaces all within one company, MEP has made planning an event easy. Whether it’s a traditional affair or a contemporary event, our team will go beyond your expectations. The services that Main Event Productions offer stand out because of our attention to detail. Our understanding of and dedication to quality has resulted in The Bake Shoppe and A Catered Affair becoming one of the premier confectioners and caterers in Middle Tennessee. In addition to staying atop of the trends in catering and confection, we offer very versatile event venues, including Events@1418 and our beautiful new venue, Legacy Farms. If you can imagine it, MEP can make it!
2. How did you find you way into weddings?
One cake at a time! The Bake Shoppe started in 1996,while the world of food preparation and party planning began with A Catered Affair in 1999. What started as a tiny shop specializing in birthday and wedding cakes has grown into Main Event Productions.

We moved into our current location in 2006 – just celebrating our 5th Anniversary in Events@1418 – we thought that we would be helping the corporate client at 1418 and have done many ceremonies and receptions at our urban location.
2011 brings our country location to the “family” – Legacy Farms - our largest venue accommodating up to several hundred – Legacy has an emphasis on weddings with multiple ceremony sites as well as options for reception sites. There is an onsite Bed and Breakfast in our 1832 antebellum manor home that can accommodate up to 16 overnight guests. Outdoor courtyards, flowing water fountains as well as Legacy Pond complete with a pier and covered bridge – just perfect for cocktail hour or photo ops.

3. Describe the type of bride and/or couple that will have the most success working with you.
Couples that appreciate organization – and can follow-thru with their part of the planning process. Couples that believe that we will remain within their budget as well as couples who are fun and enjoy the wedding process!
4. What type of bride and/or couple would not be the right fit for you?
Someone who is only focused on the lowest price possible – without regard to details or quality. Someone who is disorganized in their planning process – who cannot work together to create the plan.
