How we met:
Gregg and I went to high school together, but did not have any classes together. One day, he noticed me and asked his friend to find out more about me. As I was walking to my car one day after school, he said hello and started talking to me. I was very shy and dating someone at the time, so I just moved on to my car. After high school, we ended up working at JCPenney together and he tried to ask me out one day. I was still dating someone at the time, so I turned him down. Later in college, we chatted on Facebook and he invited me to his friend's birthday party. I had recently ended the long relationship that made me turn him down before, so I figured I would join him and his friends. After a 4-5 year relationship with the wrong guy before, I was not ready for another serious one since I had just ended a difficult relationship that had hurt me. Once Gregg saw me once again, he never stopped trying to get me to be his girlfriend. I was hard to get, because I was afraid to rush into another relationship. He was very persistent and tried hard to get me to date him. He swept me off my feet with his gentleman-like ways and helped me through a hard time in my life. He showed me what a real relationship should be like and how a guy is respectfully supposed to treat a girl. During our three years of dating, he got saved and accepted Christ into his life. Gregg was already the perfect guy, but he is now a strong Christian and proud of his faith in Christ. He has become a Biblical man as he provides, protects, and leads in our relationship. We complement each other perfectly, and I am so happy to have found the one that God has led me to.

The proposal:
On December 29, 2011, Gregg came over to my house early in the morning since we were going to spend the day together. He looked up tickets to go to the Biltmore house that morning, but it was unfortunately sold out for the day. He was so upset that we could not go and I had been looking forward to going one day. I knew in the back of my mind that he would propose one day soon since we had discussed marriage a few times. I wondered if it was going to be the day, but I thought it would be postponed since the Biltmore did not work out. Gregg, being the persistent guy and goal achiever he is, took me out to the side of Mount LeConte in the Smokey Mountains National Park. We drove through the mountains and had fun on a nice little road trip there. Once we arrived, we enjoyed the beautiful view of the Smokey Mountains. He took me to a small path on the side of the mountain. There was snow on the ground and a gorgeous view ahead of us. Once we came to a spot where we were alone and the scenery was lovely, he got down on one knee, opened a ring box and said, "Angela Price, will you marry me?" My heart suddenly began to beat faster than before. I covered my mouth with my hands in astonishment and gasped, staring at him. I did not say anything, because he had taken me by surprise as I was speechless. He asked if it was a "no" jokingly, but I hugged him tight and whispered "yes, I will marry you" into his ears as tears began to form behind my eyes. He then told me all the reasons why he wanted to marry me. We sat on a log, enjoying each other's company. We talked about the beautiful ring and took pictures. The proposal was perfect, because he did it in a way that was "Gregg." The mountainside was the perfect spot to propose, because our first real date was hiking in the mountains to a waterfall. We also went hiking in the mountains there on other special occasions and picnicked beside the waterfalls. I was so excited and had known for a while that he was the one that God had sent to me. He was like my angel that watched over me and took care of me. I loved everything about him and was always anxious to see him the next day. Even when we are married, I will still be excited to see him everyday because he is everything to me. When I was younger, I wrote a list of standards that I would like my future husband to possess. Gregg meets all of them and much more. He is not musical like me, but he always supports me in music and encourages me to keep it going. He is the Christian man that I had been looking for. I believe that our relationship is strong and pure because I will have a reason to wear a white dress on my wedding day as Gregg has respected me throughout our relationship. I cannot wait to be married to Gregg Dirmeyer and spend the rest of my life with my soulmate.
