Tes Party for the girls
Published: September 1, 2009
You know those days when you just can't stop snacking? My mom calls them her "hungry moods." Well, hopefully, you're in one, because I don't want to be responsible for kick-starting a hungry mood for you. It's just too much pressure! But I do want to talk about food. Are you all planning on taking the girls out for a Bridesmaid luncheon? Not only is it a special time to get together with all the girls and thank them for all their help in the planning of your wedding, but it's also a great way for them to get to know each other if they are from different parts of your life. For example, my sister-in-law invited us sisters to her luncheon so we met and became friends with her bridesmaids. But I digress...
While my sister-in-law's luncheon was very special and very nice, it also was a pretty penny. So instead of scrapping the idea all together, let think of some low-budget options! You can do a DIY luncheon for a minimum and still have the girls enjoy themselves. Let's think tea party (or coffee!).

Brew a couple of varieties of tea or coffee. And dig out your wedding china. Then make up some sugar cookie dough, and bake a variety of shapes of cookies. When the girls arrive, you can have them help decorate them before they are eaten! Or you could even leave the dough unbaked and let the girls help with that as well! Not only does this give you all time to bond (over cookies, no less!), it also provides an easy way for all your friends to interact!
