Happy Anniversary!

A good love story is always more than welcome on The Pink Bride blog – and we are so thankful to Kristen of Overbay Photography for sending us a heads up about this lovely couple celebrating their one-year anniversary next Monday! Read about Meredith and Zack’s gorgeous wedding day on July 23, 2011, and enjoy the fabulous photography below!

1. Reminisce about your wedding day for us.
Our wedding day was a dream come true. Everything turned out exactly as we had hoped it would. We were so blessed to have so many wonderful people to celebrate with us. I would not change a thing about it....it was our perfect day.

2. What has been your biggest trial over your first year of married life?
We have had many new experiences during our first year of married life, including new jobs, new daily routines, and a new house. It has definitely been a busy season of life, but we have grown together through everything. I can't imagine experiencing these things with anyone else.
 

3. What has been your favorite aspect of married life so far? Has anything surprised you?
My favorite aspect of being married is getting to share every day life with each other. We talk about everything together and we always support each other no matter what. It is such a blessing to come home to someone every day who loves you unconditionally. There have been a few surprises- funny habits, snoring, and deciding who does the dishes! These are so small in the grand scheme of things, though. We are very blessed!

4. What experience have you learned the most from?
Although marriage is a continual learning process, I think that the stressful times we have faced together have taught us the most. Facing things like job searches and home searches together have definitely made us stronger because it forces you to rely on each other more.

5. Tell us your advice for other newlyweds or those in the wedding planning process!
Our advice is to enjoy every second of this exciting time in your life. Be devoted to your spouse and love each other well in all situations! The first year of marriage is such a blessing and it will be over before you know it, so cherish every moment!
