As I was browsing through wedding blogs the other day I stumbled across Steep Street. I found their invitations absolutely beautiful and original.

After attending some fabulous weddings this summer with stunning receptions – I thought I would share with all of you some wonderful inspiration I have found for your reception venue.

Today's real wedding was brought to us by the very talented Laurie Carpenter Photography. Jennifer and Will got married on May 29th at St. Philip Catholic Church and held their reception at The Red House.

But the other day my jaw dropped with excitement and awe when I heard about a certain sweet delight being served at weddings – donuts!

If you're a nervous bride, like me, the title of this post probably made you think about catching up with things you are behind on, but what I really mean is watching out about getting caught up in it all.

Cake.  Not just any cake, but Wedding Day Cake!  You want traditional, he wants whimsical!  Or you want Strawberry cake and your mother wants you to do Italian Cream.  What do you do?  Who wins the cake battle?  Well, maybe you each can get what you want and you don't have to choose one or the other.

Get the cake flavors you want.  You are not going to please everyone.  Don't stress about this.  It's just dessert!
