Engagement Shoot: LeeAnn and Matt

Today's engagement session was brought to us by Susie Linquist Photography. LeeAnn and Matt met in Wilmington, NC and will be getting married April 23, 2011. Read on for more on how they met and their proposal story.

"I moved to Wilmington, NC from Ohio in May 2006. I met my hubbie to be, Matt, the very first weekend I was here. He had moved here with his parents from Canada, at the time he was attending UNCW. We were both hanging out in Carolina Beach and were introduced by a mutual friend. That summer Matt taught me to surf and ride a beach cruiser! I fell in love with Carolina Beach and Matt!"

"A year and a half later Matt opened the Shuckin Shack Oyster Bar (where we had our engagement session!) and I continued working as a special ed preschool teacher. We have since bought a house on the island and rescued 3 dogs and a cat!"

How cool is it that they took some of their photos in Matt's restaurant, Shuckin Shack?!

"On my birthday of 2010 (April 22) Matt and I took our bikes on his boat and headed to Baldhead Island. We rode our bikes around the beautiful island and made a stop at Old Baldy! We climbed to the top of the light house where Matt pulled out a beautiful ring and asked me to marry him! It was a perfect Birthday! After, we celebrated on the beach and had lunch at Eb and Flo's where we called all of our family in Ohio and Canada."

"We are getting married 4/23/2011 on the beach in Carolina Beach. Our wedding will be a fun relaxing event with food from our favorite resturant (Michaels seafood) a beach music band (Da Howlies) and the waves and the sand! Most of our family will be vacationing here for the week. We have plans to show them around the island, hopefully they will love it as much as we do.  Then were out of here the next day on our dream honeymoon in St. Lucia."
