DIY Guide: Save the Date Puzzles
Published: June 21, 2012
If you are a multi-tasking, super-planning, DIY bride who wants to add a personal touch to every single detail of her day, then you will love this cute Save the Date idea! (Special thanks goes out to Kristi from Luna and Chloe Weddings on The Loveliest Day blog for first featuring this and the wonderful images!)
Your guests will adore receiving this cute puzzle in the mail. It is certainly a great way to get them to remember your date, and guests with children will thank you for the new “toy” you have sent! This adorable craft is insanely easy to make. Simply purchase 2-inch craft blocks from any craft store (nine blocks per puzzle). Decide on a theme for the six different puzzles the blocks will make. Either follow the examples in the bottom pictures, or do something different!

My suggestion would be this:
Side 1 – Save the Date
Side 2 – Your names
Side 3 – Your wedding date!
Side 4 – The wedding location
Sides 5 and 6 – Two of your engagement pictures!
Once you have your theme in mind for each of the six sides, create them on your computer (a 6”x 6” image) and print. Then, cut each image into nine squares. Once you have accomplished all of that, paste one piece from each image onto each block, covering all six of the block’s sides. After each block has dried, you can send the puzzle to your guests!

Ship each puzzle in cute boxes. Guests will love your efforts to keep them involved in your special day!
