Crafty Gift Idea: 52 Things I Love About You

I found this idea while perusing the web a few days ago, and I thought it was too cute not to share. (Thanks to onetomatotwo on Craftster for the pics and details!) Instructions for making this fabulous little gift for your future hubby or wife are below…so grab a marker, two thin pieces of cardboard, glue, paper, two one-inch binder rings, a hole punch, and a deck of cards to start crafting!

Step #1: The original crafter suggests using a Xyron sticker maker to cold laminate a design to two thin pieces of cardboard for the “book covers.” Since I do not have a sticker maker, I used acid-free rubber cement. It dries quickly and is totally easy to clean up! What should you use to decorate the covers? I rummaged through my scrapbooking drawer until I came across a few pieces I could cut to the size of two cards for the front and back covers. You can come up with your own variation! Be sure to paste on a title for your “book,” too.

Step #2: Begin punching two holes the same amount of space apart on each card. Check out what it will look similar to below!

Step #3: Write down 52 things you love about your future hubby or wife onto a piece of paper, and cut this into small squares. Paste one thing you love onto each card so that it reads like a book! By the way, I imagine masking tape would work just as well without needing to paste anything. It is totally up to you!

Step #4: Assemble the covers and cards together, looping each through the binder rings in whatever order you like.

Step #5: Gift it! After your future spouse finishes reading each thing you love about him or her, suggest playing a nice card game or two!
